 Great idea if it worked consistently

I got mine at Bass Pro Shops and was excited. Fried one turkey with great success and brought it to my occupation for their dinner. But when I came back an hour later after I let the unit cool down, I attempted to cook my family’s turkey and it didn’t work. It took 2 hours to get it working pressing the reset button on the back of the heating unit at least 100 times!. When I in the long run did get it working, I went back to check on it 20 minutes later and it turned off. I had to give the heating unit a pretty firm tap and then it turned on! Completely inconsistent!
Cleaning the unit was a breeze, even the heating unit which accumulated most of the grease residue and can’t be submerged in water. Everything else I placed in the dishwasher.
The oil drained well and very clean for use again.
It actually is a outstanding idea but they need to solve the issue with the heating unit not working. It shouldn’t be so sensible to motion which is what I accumulated was the problem.
And worse? Their client support number was closed on Thanksgiving. Don’t brand this Butterball, if you’re not going to be available on Turkey day.

 Perfect frying appliance

I have been deep frying turkeys for 13 years and own both a propane and the Materbuilt. I love this unit and no longer use the propane unit. I have had zero difficulties and have built a sliding shelf in my garage to do the cooking. Very easy to use and disturb free. Sorry if a lot of persons have had issues with the heating element, I set and “forget” which means this unit allows me to proceed with other cooking details without the threat of a fire or boiling over. I cook for a big crowd so I am close to the cooker, no fires and this unit is way safer than propane, as I could never walk away from an open flame. Also the thermostat works very well and I have the most eminent selfassurance in using this product. WARNING: I am not advocating irresponsibility in not attending to the frying of any foods, if you are inexperienced in deep frying seek counsel from online internet sites that provide proper frying techniques(e.g. youtube). This Masterbuilt is safe and under the proper frying conditions, you will have to not have any regrets.
One point I would like to mention is the magnetic connection for the electric cord, hmmm not real crazy when it comes to that idea as I have had the connection come off, not a problem as I think the company is exercising a safety feature to keep the unit from operating if it were to be bumped or tipped over. Just my thoughts on what may be annoying.

 The WORST Service EVER!!!

Thank God I purchased this item through Amazon. I ordered this to make a family dinner. We had always talked when it comes to deep fried turkey and I decisive to undertake it and this sounded perfect. I purchased everything as directed….the Butterball turkey..the size…the oil. Preheated the oil….ready…set…go…the turkey is sizzling away…the unit shuts off….the unit is on…the unit is off…on…off…on…off…..well after various hours and a trip to the store to buy dinner…the turkey was done….well sort of……what a mess. I called Amazon and they offered to send a return label so I could send it back…but I said I would like to talk to the humans at Masterbuilt so they gave me the number. They likewise gave me a credit on my account for the trouble. I called Masterbuilt….the nightmare begins….I was on hold eternally then spoke to a women who could care less…she was smacking on something…talking to someone else and asked me 3 times “What do you suppose from me”. I asked for an individual else and she put me on hold for with regards to 5 minutes then came back and said no one is available…they will call you back….and hung up. The best share is she never asked my name or phone number and needless to say I never heard from them. I reported it to Amazon and returned the fryer. Thank goodness for Amazon and their fantasti Service.
